The team's core is made up of scientists who possess additional experience in marketing, PR or mediation. This core is complemented by colleagues who have years of specialist experience in journalism or advertising.

Prof. Dr. Kristina Sinemus
Managing director
The post-doctoral biologist offers strategy consultation and is a certified mediator as well as a moderator of large groups. She is the founder and managing director of genius gmbh. She is also professionally active as a lecturer at the Quadriga University in Berlin and as vice-president of the IHK Darmstadt.

Marina Rieg
Managerial assistant
The trained business manager has been at genius gmbh since 2006 with focus on project control, resource planning and project bookkeeping. She also is active in the organisation and realisation of events.

Dr. Klaus Minol
Senior consultant, chief scientist
Studied biology at the TU Darmstadt and acted as a consultant for plant biotechnology during his doctoral work. He is co-founder, partner and chief scientist of genius gmbh. His areas of focus include scientific studies, online information platforms and marketing strategy.

Dr. Jens Freitag
Senior consultant, director of the Berlin office
Work of the post-doctoral agricultural scientist includes research at the Max Planck Institute of Molecular Plant Physiology in Potsdam-Golm. Since 2007 he has been active at genius gmbh as senior consultant with focus on renewable agriculture, nutrition, genome research and bioeconomics.

Dr. Barbara Löchte
Senior consultant, PR & events
Studied agricultural science and has long-standing experience in leading PR and marketing positions, including many years of activity in the organisation of trade fairs and events at the DLG. At Genius she is responsible for public relations & events in the area of agriculture and nutrition.

Gabriele Völcker
Consultant, research & editing
Studied chemical engineering (with focus on biotechnology) in Darmstadt. She is trained as an information manager and as a product manager for the chemical industry and has experience in online-editing and information agencies (IVS) in Frankfurt and Weinheim. She has been with Genius since 2006.

Ulrike Bornhofen
Consultant
Studied food science and nutrition and was subsequently occupied as a research assistant and nutritional consultant. With many years of marketing experience through Tupperware Deutschland, she is working at Genius for the field of nutrition and also is engaged with political topics.

Christiane Freitag
Consultant
Study of chemistry. Training for public relations consultant at oeffentlichkeitsarbeit.de in Heidelberg. Supports editorial and public affairs projects at Genius. Subject areas: plant biotechnology, industrial biotechnology, nutrition and foodstuffs.

Junior consultant
Studied media and communications science in Göttingen and subsequently was a PR trainee at a publishing house in Darmstadt and staff of the Senckenberg Society for Nature Research. Since 2010, he has been with Genius with focus on public relations and media, editing, online and events.
