Using success stories, including the invention of PLEXIGLAS® by Dr. Otto Röhm in the 1930s, she conveys the inventiveness and innovation of the engineering region in and around Darmstadt. The region benefits particularly from synergies between scientific research and industrial application: "In the science city of Darmstadt, scientists and entrepreneurs work closely together", writes Sinemus.
